Frequently Asked Question
FAQ
How does hourly pricing work?
Our moves are billed by the hour based on the size of crew you select (2 movers, 3 movers, 4 movers, etc.). Your time starts when the crew arrives on-site and ends when the job is completed (final item placed and walkthrough confirmed). We’ll always communicate the crew size, hourly rate, and recommended plan upfront so you can choose what fits best.
What is the 3-hour minimum?
We have a 3-hour labor minimum for local moves. This minimum covers the crew’s first three hours on-site and helps account for scheduling, mobilization, and the time it takes to properly protect and handle your home and belongings. If your move takes longer than 3 hours, it simply continues at the same hourly rate.
What does the travel fee cover?
The travel fee covers the truck, fuel, basic equipment, and mobilization time to get the crew to you and back. It also includes standard moving supplies we bring by default (like blankets, shrink wrap, dollies, and straps). This fee is separate from labor and is quoted upfront.
What’s included by default (wraps, blankets, floor protection)?
- Every move includes, at no extra cost:
- Moving blankets and pads for furniture protection
- Shrink wrap and tape as needed to secure and protect items
- Dollies, straps, and standard equipment
- Floor protection in traffic areas when needed (runner/mats depending on the home)
We focus on preventing damage through proper prep — that’s a big part of our process-driven approach.
Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Basic disassembly and reassembly is included for standard items like bed frames, dining tables (legs), and other common furniture pieces as needed for safe transport. If an item is highly complex (custom, antique, specialty hardware), we’ll flag it during planning so expectations are clear.
Do you offer packing services?
Yes. We offer full packing, partial packing, and move-day packing support. We can provide labor-only packing or packing with materials included, depending on what you prefer.
Can you do partial or fragile-only packing?
Definitely. Many clients choose fragile-only packing for kitchens, glassware, artwork, mirrors, and décor — or they’ll pack most items themselves and have us handle the breakables. We’ll tailor it to your needs.
Do you unpack and help set up rooms?
Yes. We can unpack boxes, place items into the correct rooms, and help with basic setup such as beds, large furniture placement, rugs, and staging the home so it feels functional right away. (We’ll always confirm scope and timing ahead of time.)
How many movers do I need for my home size?
Here are our general recommendations (we’ll confirm after learning about stairs, heavy items, and packing level):
- Studio / 1 Bedroom: 2 movers
- 2 Bedroom: 2–3 movers
- 3 Bedroom: 3–4 movers
- 4+ Bedroom: 4+ movers (and/or multiple trucks depending on volume)
If speed and efficiency matter, adding a mover often reduces total time and stress.
